Yes, you can modify posts on this demo board, because permission to do so has been granted to "Regular Members", and you are a member of that group.

This is not the default permission setting, but some other Admin modified it awhile ago.

So enjoy, but of course, don't abuse it  ;)

Yes, so it's not a bug after all.  Keep in mind, this is still a Beta version of SMF 2.0, so there are likely a few bugs here and there.  However, overall the software should be fairly solid: it's been under development for over 18 months  :)
